Signly: CCPA / CPRA Privacy Notice

This notice provides additional information for individuals located in California regarding how personal information is handled when using the Signly service and supplements the Signly Privacy Policy.

Business identity Signly is operated by Kevin Joseph, a sole trader established in the United Kingdom and trading as "Signly", and may be contacted at support@signly.io for matters relating to California privacy rights.

Categories of personal information Signly may collect categories of personal information defined under California law, including identifiers such as names and email addresses, internet or network activity information such as IP addresses and usage data, commercial information relating to document transactions and service usage, and limited technical information required to generate audit trails, and Signly does not intentionally collect or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics.

Sources of personal information Personal information is collected directly from users, automatically through use of the service, and from customers who upload documents or provide information for signers in connection with electronic signature transactions.

Purposes for collection and use Personal information is collected and used to provide and operate the electronic signature service, maintain security and fraud prevention, generate audit trails and document records, support customer administration and billing, and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

Disclosure of personal information Signly does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and personal information may be disclosed to service providers and contractors who assist in delivering the service and who are contractually required to use the information only for permitted purposes and to protect its confidentiality.

Service provider and contractor role Where applicable, Signly acts as a service provider or contractor under California law and does not use personal information for its own independent commercial purposes outside providing the service.

Retention Personal information is retained only for as long as is reasonably necessary and proportionate to achieve the purposes disclosed, including retention of signed documents and audit records for evidential and compliance purposes, and other information is retained only as required by law or operational necessity.

California privacy rights Individuals in California may have rights under applicable law to request access to personal information, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of personal information, request information about categories and specific pieces of personal information collected and disclosed, limit the use of sensitive personal information where applicable, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights, subject to permitted limitations.

Exercising your rights Requests to exercise California privacy rights may be submitted by contacting support@signly.io, and Signly may require verification of the requester's identity and may accept requests from authorised agents acting on behalf of an individual where permitted by law.
